Business...man!

You know some people work for a living while for others living is their work.

My art is my passion and my work. This is my business, this is what I do for a living and it is part of my life. A big part of my life.But the business part of this art is taxing. I must say.

That is my mini rant.

Fair..trade

Well Joburg, okay rather the rooftop of Hyde Park shopping centre has been a hive of activity since Thursday. Being a newbie to this city myself, this has been one seriously cool experience. Not to mention the fact that my work is on show and on sale from the Artist Proof stand. I must say it's been a while since I've seen the works that are on display, so I'll be back there again tomorrow to check them out and maybe bid them fairwell as they head to new homes.

It's terribly late for me to be telling you guys about this, but if you have a chance you have to go through tomorrow, IT'S THE LAST DAY! Hope to see you there maybe.

It is such an awesome setup I must say. Haven't seen anything like it. Not even Druiwe fees in Nylstroom is like this. ha ha!
My personal must trys from the fair:

1. & UNION - Steph Weiss beer (little on the costly side, but consider it a fine wine of beers)
2. Bar Bar Bar Black Sheep (I'm completely rooting for people from small towns, these boys from Riebeeck's Kasteel had people queing for their glorious food)
3. Design...Check out all the AMAZING design elements from jewellery to house decor and glassware, all sorts of cool stuff, that we don't have the pleasure of seeing under one roof.

Joburg truly is a city alive with many possibilities and now they're all under one roof.

Trading spaces...

The Big Move! That's what I'm doing at the moment... I will be working in a brand new space! Thank you Isaac C!

I have long since wanted a space in the beautiful JHB city centre and this space is just that. The best part is I will be sharing it with other young, creative minds. So amazing! So I have the views of the crazy and  colourul Joburg landscape to inspire me daily and I will be surrounded by others' creativity.

This is no small task, lugging my previous work and works in progress all the way across the city,but they now have a new home. Oh man, that reminds me of my next task..STORAGE! Eek!

Seems an auspicious time to move. New year is already looking at us out of the corner of its eye,welcoming us in. no better time to move than the present, looking forward to the future in my new space.
